The essential details of Eila’s family background appeared in entertainment coverage at the time of her birth. A September 2006 announcement identified her as Anna Gunn and Alastair Duncan’s second daughter and named Emma as her older sister.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Early Life and Birth
Eila Rose Duncan was born in Los Angeles on September 12, 2006. Her arrival received attention because Anna Gunn was already an established television actress. At the time, Gunn was associated with HBO’s Deadwood, in which she portrayed Martha Bullock.
People published its birth announcement on September 14, 2006. The announcement stated that Eila had arrived on the preceding Tuesday and identified Los Angeles as her birthplace. It also included a brief update from a representative about the family following the birth.
That contemporary coverage provides a clear starting point for her biography. It places her birth within a specific period of her mother’s working life, before Breaking Bad became the role most closely associated with Gunn.
Los Angeles is both Eila’s birthplace and an important setting in her parents’ professional histories. However, a birth location alone does not establish every place a person later lived. Details about her childhood schools, daily routines, and friendships should not be inferred from her family’s connection to the city.

Eila Rose Duncan’s Age and Family Timeline
Eila turned 20 on September 12, 2026. Her age is relevant when reading older articles because those accounts describe her at different stages of childhood. A profile written several years earlier may contain an accurate age for its publication date while being outdated today.
Her birth also provides a useful reference point for understanding the family’s chronology. She arrived after her older sister, Emma, and during Anna Gunn’s work on Deadwood. Gunn’s role in Breaking Bad followed, with the series beginning in 2008.
This sequence helps explain why some early coverage introduces Eila through Deadwood, while later biographies describe her as the daughter of the actress who played Skyler White. Both descriptions refer to the same parent at different points in her career.
The dates establish professional and family context. They do not reveal how Eila experienced those years or what she thought about her mother’s growing recognition.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Mother, Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn built a career across television, film, and theater before becoming closely associated with Breaking Bad. Her earlier screen work included a recurring role as Assistant District Attorney Jean Ward in The Practice and appearances in established television dramas and comedies.
Gunn played Martha Bullock in Deadwood, a role she began in 2004. The HBO series formed part of her professional life when Eila was born two years later. This connection explains the wording of the contemporary birth coverage, which identified Gunn through that production.
Her television credits also include Seinfeld, Six Feet Under, ER, and Boston Legal. These roles show that her career developed through a range of productions rather than beginning with a single successful series.
Gunn’s theater work is another part of Eila’s family background. Her credits include The Rehearsal on Broadway and stage productions of Time Stands Still and Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie. Her experience therefore extends beyond the television performances most familiar to general audiences.
These professional details explain Anna Gunn’s place in the entertainment industry. They should remain distinct from claims about Eila’s interests, training, or ambitions.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Connection to Breaking Bad
Eila’s connection to Breaking Bad comes through her mother’s portrayal of Skyler White. Gunn played the wife of Walter White, the central character portrayed by Bryan Cranston. The role became a defining part of her screen career.
The Television Academy records three supporting actress nominations for Gunn’s performance, covering 2012, 2013, and 2014. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in both 2013 and 2014.
Those awards explain why searches for Anna Gunn often lead readers to questions about her family. Viewers who recognize her from the series may also want to know about her children and the people mentioned in her biographical profiles.
Eila was a child during the original run of Breaking Bad. That timing belongs to the family chronology, but it does not establish that she participated in the production, visited its sets, or planned to become an actress.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Father, Alastair Duncan
Alastair Duncan is an actor whose professional work includes screen performances and voice roles. His career provides another entertainment connection within Eila’s immediate family, particularly for audiences familiar with video games.
His voice credits include Mimir in God of War and God of War Ragnarök. He has also portrayed Celebrimbor in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, along with Senator Armstrong in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. His self-authored professional biography identifies these characters among his notable roles.
These performances reach an audience that may differ from the viewers who know Anna Gunn through television drama. As a result, readers can encounter Eila’s family name through either parent’s work.
Alastair has also worked in real estate. Contemporary coverage of Eila’s birth described him as a realtor, illustrating that his professional background includes work outside acting.
His occupation and acting credits offer context about Eila’s father. They do not provide evidence about her employment, financial circumstances, or involvement in his professional activities.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Older Sister, Emma Duncan
Emma Duncan is Eila’s older sister and the other daughter of Anna Gunn and Alastair Duncan. The birth coverage introducing Eila described Emma as five years old at the time, establishing their order within the family.
The sisters appear in biographical accounts of their parents because both are part of Gunn and Duncan’s immediate family. That connection is sufficient to explain Emma’s relevance in an article about Eila.
It does not establish that the sisters share the same education, interests, or career direction. Those details require their own evidence. Their family relationship should therefore be described directly, without adding an imagined account of their personalities or daily lives.
Including Emma gives readers an accurate picture of Eila’s immediate family while keeping the focus on information supported by the record.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Career and Professional Background
The sources supporting this biography do not establish a professional career for Eila Rose Duncan. They identify her through her family relationships rather than through a documented body of work.
For that reason, describing her as an actress, model, producer, or social media personality would require additional evidence. Having parents who work in entertainment does not establish participation in the same industry.
The same distinction applies to achievements. Anna Gunn’s Emmy Awards belong to Gunn’s career, while Alastair Duncan’s performance credits belong to his. Neither can be presented as an accomplishment of their daughter.
This leaves Eila’s professional direction open. A factual account can acknowledge that the available material does not answer that question without treating the absence of career coverage as proof that she has no work, interests, or ambitions.
Eila Rose Duncan’s Education and Personal Information
The material used for this article does not establish Eila’s school history, college enrollment, academic qualifications, or field of study. Her age alone cannot answer those questions, since people follow different educational and professional paths.
Likewise, family biographies do not provide a reliable basis for assigning her a relationship status or identifying personal social media accounts. An account using a familiar name is not sufficient evidence of ownership.
Financial claims require similar care. A parent’s earnings or property interests cannot be used to calculate an adult child’s individual net worth. Without documented information about Eila’s own assets or income, a numerical estimate would be speculative.
These boundaries keep the biography focused on its subject. They also prevent unrelated details about famous parents from being presented as facts about their daughter.
